② Economic Requirements: The economic efficiency of a machine is reflected throughout the entire process of design, manufacturing, and use. A comprehensive approach must be taken into consideration during machine design. Economic efficiency in design and manufacturing manifests as low machine cost, while economic efficiency in use manifests as high productivity, high efficiency, low energy consumption, and low management and maintenance costs.
③ Occupational Safety and Health Requirements: The machine should comply with occupational safety and health regulations, reducing noise levels during operation, preventing leakage of toxic or harmful media, and treating wastewater, waste gas, and waste liquid. Furthermore, buttons and handles should be arranged according to ergonomic principles to ensure that operation is psychologically and habitually comfortable. Simultaneously, comprehensive safety devices, alarm devices, and display devices should be installed.
④ Reliability Requirements: Reliability refers to the machine's ability to perform its intended function under specified conditions and within a specified time. Reliability is measured by its reliability degree. Machine reliability refers to the probability that a machine will function normally within a specified usage time and under a predetermined environment. Reliability requirements vary for different machines. For critical machinery and equipment involving personal safety, economic development, and social stability, such as aircraft, spacecraft, and generator sets, reliability requirements are generally above 99%.
